Dove Season Has Started!

My favorite time of the year....DOVE SEASON!!! Also the meaning fall is here as well. The cooler weather sure has been nice compaired to our 100-110 weather. Dustin's family and I always kick the season off with going to the Plains Capital Banks Hunt in Hondo Texas at Nooner Ranch. The birds out there is amazing. There are so many of them you just have to shoot and you have one sometimes even two. This trip I promise you they were flying so low you could jump and catch them. It was crazy. The five of us always go but Dustin's mom doesn't hunt. We call her the photographer for the trip. So out of 4 of us we all got our limit. Which for some of you that don't know it is 15 per person, is our state of texas wild life rule. The bank always finishs the night off with a big steak green beans and potato dinner. We can't forget the open bar. Again the food was wonderful, like always. This year though on a even better note I didn't lose a diamond out of my ring. The last couple of years I always lose one while cleaning out the dove. Here is just a few pictures from the hunt.

My limit!!

New Addition to the Family

Also on my birthday we recieved a new little buddle of joy to add to our family!! A friend from high school found this little puppy on the side of the road. Her name is Ellie.

Already making her self at home!

Dustin and his new baby!!

Dustin had been looking for a new friend for Annie to play with. So we lucked out finding this little girl. The puppies get along great and enjoy each others company. I don't think I have seen Annie so happy to have someone to play with. Our four legged family is now complete and we couldn't be happier!! Are family now is Annie, Ali, Beau, Ellie, Dustin and Natalie....I love each and ever single one of them as if they truly are my babies!!

My Birthday!!!

First of I would like to thank everyone for everything. From the cards, to the gifts, to putting the time into dinner, and for the ones who all celebrated with me. It was all so wonderful!!

Sunday before my birthday we celebrated by having the parents and grandparents over for dinner. Dustin cooked my favorite BBQ chicken, grilled corn, and jalapeno poppers. My mom made some homemade goods like rolls, peach ice cream, oatmeal and chocolate chip cookie cake, and we cant forget white sangria. Dustin's mom brought over a summer dip with chips, and a yummy fresh green salad with some fruit. It was all so good, just typing about it makes my mouth water. I sure did enjoy the company and the love that was in the house that day! I got lots of very nice gifts and it was all so thoughtful. Thank you.

Monday was Dad's birthday....not saying his age even though he doesn't look like his age. We went to my parents house for a nice home cooked meal my mom cooked. Again the food was all so good. Dad had asked for a leaf blower so that is what we got him. He seemed pretty happy with it.

Tuesday was my actual birthday. I woke up to my amazing parents knocking on the door at 7:45 in the morning. Open the door to find my mom standing there with homemade blueberry scones and my dad with a beautiful boutique of red roses. It was a very nice surprise!! Dustin then gave me 24 kisses to start my day off right. I got to work to find my coworker decorated the office with Happy Birthday banners, a yummy cheese cake and a Birthday Girl pin to wear all day. It sure did make that day at work fun. The kids kept telling me happy birthday and giving me hugs. Then I came home to a nice cooked meal by Dustin...Hatch chile cheese hamburgers. Earlier in the summer I found a pair of cowboy boots I really wanted so I got them early with him telling me that would be all I get. Well I got very lucky to find a big bag filled, a cute birthday balloon, and another beautiful boutique of roses.

Wednesday night Dustin had gotten together with all my friends for a celebration at one of the local mexican restaurants. It was so nice to see everyone and to hang out for awhile. Getting away from the crazy work week. We all enjoyed the company, along with great margaritas and food. Thank you again to all that came out that night.

All the beautiful flowers I got. Along with Dustin's surprise gift!

What was in the bag...I love my new purse!!

House Update

I know it has been awhile since last updated yall on the house. We took a good break durning the summer, due to many different reasons. One because I was just tired of the mess and dirt all the time. Two the guys needed a break from working in this Texas heat. It's starting to look like we are getting the nice cool fall weather. So The guys will be doing some work here and there cause we all know its hunting season now too.

Living room, dinning room are painted!!! So ready to start moving things back to where they go and to be able to put things up on the wall. I can order wedding pictures now!!! As for now I am loving our house more and more each day. Of course I have pictures for y'all to see.

Dustin's Birthday

Well Dustin's Birthday came and went. He is now a 26 year old hubby. First birthday as a married man!! We spent the day getting the house ready for his party. I had work at 6 that morning but got off at noon. Just enough time to cook him his birthday meal and drinks made for a party. I made beans, cream of corn, potatoe salad, two birthday cakes along with three different kinds of jello shots. Now a buddy of ours was nice enough to cook the meat. Man was his ribs good. Thanks again Hampton, you rock!! As the night started we had about 30 people over a mix of our family and friends. By the end of the night it was just friends. The birthday Boy enjoyed his day and got a lot of great gifts! Thanks to everyone who came and shared the night with us! Sadly to say though, I forgot to take any pictures.

What we have done now to the Remodeling of the House!!

Dustin and his dad have been working hard on the house. They have done so much in a short time spanned. Can't believe how beautiful our house is coming along. I love it more and more each day. Just the thought of coming home every day to something new. Here are some pictures of what all they have done along with some before and after pictures.

Before picture of the wall along with the Kitchen bookshelf thing. As you see in this picture above where the cabinet is at is where we have now built a bar area. Now it looks like the picture to the right. All custom tile and steel pipe beams. Along with our granite counter tops.
As you see closer the granite counters and a bar sink. Along with our beautiful cabinets. Which will also be going into our Kitchen as well.

Then you have Dustin's custom built wine rack and wine glass holder he built. It's all built out of steel.
We also got a pool this weekend!! Something to stay cool during our Texas heat! Looking forward to a summer filling with lots of food, cold beer, cool pool to float in and great friends and family to enjoy it with us!!

New Babies Four legged ones that is!!

We have a new addition to the Marroquin family. We would like y'all to meet her.
HI!! My name is Bella short for Isabella. I'm a daddy's girl!!
We love our three four legged kids more than anything!! For now we have Annie the Dog, Ali the Cat, and Bella the baby kitten. The cats get along great and keep each other company when we are at work. Annie and Bella get a long great! Bella loves being outside. Although I think she is still to little to go out by herself. As for Ali I believe she will always be an inside cat.

Our new baby in the yard!! It's only a few days old when this picture was taken!!

I noticed this morning that we now have two baby deer in the yard!!

What a cute little thing!!
It's nice to see the life cycle happening this spring in our front yard. Yes, I will still go hunting in the fall for a buck! LOL it's all about the world going around!!

Jeremy's High School Prom

Dustin's younger brother Jeremy who is a Junior in High School went to prom the second weekend of May. He took his sweet beautiful girlfriend on three months Katie with him. It was at the TPC Marriot of San Antonio. This hotel is amazing and so big! Lucky them who got to have prom there!! Dustin's mom who was on the prom commity and was there for the night. We decided to go crash the prom!! Note Dustin and I have both been out of high school for 6 years now. Still some of the same teachers we had where there as well. So it was nice to see them. We not only crashed the party but we stayed to help tear it all down for the night. As for Jeremy and Katie they had a blast!!!

Oh yes we did have a little fun!! Jeremy's truck when he came out of prom!! It's the things we do when we love you so much Jeremy!!

Birthday and Easter

The crazy month of APRIL!!!

Lets just say we have a lot of birthday's to celebrating in this month along with Easter!! We don't have any pictures from these events but stories to tell.

We start the month off with April 2nd Dustin's Mom's Birthday, we spent the evening at a nice restaurant called Hungry Farmers. We all ate good that night with salad, steak, shrimp and all the side fixings. Along with a great big cake topped with fresh fruit. Dustin and I decided to custom create a wedding album for her to always have of our wedding day.

April 9th we celebrated Ama's Birthday(Dustin's Grandma on his mom's side), we met them for dinner at the restaurant called Maverick's Cafe, another great place to eat!! They are known for their chicken fried steak so the guys all got that along with sides and a salad. Now for the ladies we all got fried shrimp. Dustin and I got her a beautiful plant...she loves her plants and to be outside. Plus the flowers were purple her favorite color.

As for April 23rd it was my Mom's Birthday!! We again went out to eat at a new restaurant in Spring Branch serving Italian food. Another great night out, food and the people we were with! There was about 12 of us out that night and man did we all just about order everything on the menu. So many great dishes and everything tasted so good. Dustin and I got her a custom wedding album that she can treasure for ever. The neat thing about the albums that we did for the moms they both are geared more towards their child and their side of the family. So both very different. Along with that we got her a pool float cause we all know how she loves her pool. Dustin even custom built a iron stand that hold BBQ tools and even a beer.

April 24th was Easter Sunday!! Man was that an Easter of a lot of fun and a lot of work too. We decided to have an Easter party at our house. So we had all the cleaning before and after to do but well worth it all. With everyone who came thank you!! We had about 50 people here for the day. Had a kid Easter egg hunt for them and even a pinata. Then for the adults we did an adult Easter egg hunt with a five dollar gift in the end you got. Kind of like white elephant. All in all we had a blast with our families!! Plus there was good food too!! Look forward to many more parties with the families!!

Coming to the end of the month Dustin's Dad's Birthday was April 29th. We went out to a restaurant called Firewater Grill. It is walking distance from my elementary school I work at. Celebrating the night with drinks and appetizers from chips and salsa to Buffalo wings. All so good. Dustin and I got his dad some things he needed to get closer on filling the endless list of tools a guy could want.

As we go through this crazy month, I spent the whole time on crutches from slipping and falling at work because of a wet floor on April 8th. With it being sprained and a nerve messed up. Got off of the crutches about two weeks ago now(Note it's May) LOL. Now spending three days a week at physical therapy, a cortisone shot and off to see the next doctor on June 2nd who is a nerve specialist. So we will see.

So all in all I believe to think we had a good one. Spent a lot of time with family and eating! LOL Still we wouldn't change it for nothing!!

Remodeling Project

Our Tile!!

Granite Counter Tops!!

We have been very lucky to have great help when it comes to our remodeling of the house. Dustin's parents went to an auction one weekend while Dustin and I worked the rodeo. They found some great deals and beautiful things to be put in our house. They came across some granite and tile for all the bathrooms and kitchen in the house. not only did they find some beautiful stuff they got it at like nothing in price. I couldn't be happier and can't wait to see what it will look like all together in the house. So we are getting there on starting the new project. Here are some pictures of the products we got. Please note it was taken at night and on my phone. Plus right now they are in our car port area. Better pictures when they get installed into the house.

New Addition to the Family

Meet ALI!!!
Everyone, Dustin and I would like to introduce the newest member to out family. Her name is Ali, she is our little miss sunshine. As most of y'all know I have always grown up with cats. We have been in the house since December and I just felt like it wasn't home yet for me. So I got talking to Dustin about how I wanted a cat(kitten). Dustin who is not a CAT lover, was not getting it at first. While I was home sick I convinced him to go to the local animal shelter down the street from us. I ended up taking home a feral kitten who I believe was 6 weeks old when I took her home. We had a lot of work to do. She was scared and didn't trust anyone or thing. She would hiss so bad spit would come out and she would swat at everything. This week marks two weeks since we brought her home and she is now no longer being ugly. I feel she trust Dustin and I to were she is comfortable with us. She loves to play! Her new thing this week is she likes to get on the bed. Every day there is something new to get her to adjust to her new environment. Here are some pictures of Miss Ali!!

She Loves to hide!!

Valentine's Day

My beautiful Flowers that I came home to from work,
Along with all different kind of Cold Meds!!

Sadly to say I was so sick....on our first valentin's day married. Also Dustin was working the rodeo that night. So all in all it wasn't the greatest memory :( With everything going on and me being so sick, Dustin still went out of his way to make sure I was spoiled with gifts and love. He did a very good job. We are hoping a month later....this friday to go out celebrating Valentine's Day. Yes, it has taken me a month to recover. It all started when I got sick with strep throat, then after feeling better from that three days later I got sick thinking it was just a cold. Come to find out it wasn't, I had the flu and broncitis. Not fun. Still trying to get over the broncitis, it is taken me awhile to get back up on my two feet. I still don't feel like I am 100% yet but getting there. I hope everyone else had wonderful Valentine's Day!! Here are some pictures from my wonderful things my hubby got me!!

All my nice gifts I got!! New Miss Me Jeans,
New Purse and a Gift Card to VS!! My Hubby Loves ME!!
